“ Today’s Patriots”

Today’s patriots are men and women of all ages. They help when a natural disaster occurs, or terrorism disasters occur in our country or another. Who I think are today’s patriots are armed forces, rescue workers, and doctors and nurses.

First, armed forces serve our country in many ways. They help keep our countries freedom, and help make sure our country is safe. Our armed forces also help other countries in need of food, clothing, and other basic needs. Today we have lost a lot of men and women in our armed forces. The armed forces of the United States have done a great job over the years and kept our country running safe and properly.

Second, rescue workers help our country in many ways too. Rescue workers are just like you and me. Not too long ago we had a massive hurricane, Hurricane Katrina. It hit part of Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. In this hurricane, many people died, and these states needed a lot of help putting these states back together. Rescue workers also helped in the 9 / 11 attack on the World Trade Centers in New York City. That was one of the worst terrorist attacks in the United States! Today our country has had bad disasters, but if all of us help, the armed forces, rescue workers, and doctors and nurses, we can make our country even better!

Third, we have doctors and nurses, who go through a lot each day. They help people everywhere around the world every single day. Some doctors and nurses are over seas, in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries. They are over seas helping wounded soldiers stay alive. We also have doctors and nurses in hospitals helping people who are ill in many different ways. Still today we have very many different doctors and nurses, who help in many different ways.

In conclusion, there are many different patriots in our country. The three patriots I chose are, armed forces, rescue workers, and doctors and nurses. These patriots are helpful every day to our country and many more.
